On May 26 of 2011, the domestic first batch of 0.5mm ultra-thin arsenic-free TFT-LCD glass substrates manufactured by Chengdu Zhongguangdian Science & Technology Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of Bengbu Design & Research Institute for Glass Industry (BDRIGI), was qualified through the batch certification by the core domestic customer Tianma Micro-electronics Co., Ltd. and won an order for follow-up bulk purchase, thus breaking foreign monopoly and technical blockade and making a great leap from technical innovation to industrialization and market application.
